Marinated in a blend of spices and flavors, these drumsticks become crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside thanks to the magic of hot-air cooking. Perfect for a convivial meal or a gourmet aperitif, this recipe is a light and quick alternative to classic fried chicken.
Ingrédients
8 chicken thighs
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 pinch cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Preparing the marinade :
In a large bowl, combine the olive oil with the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, cumin, salt, pepper and cayenne pepper. Add the chicken drumsticks and mix well to coat them completely with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour (or up to 24 hours for more flavor). - Airfryer cooking :
Preheat your Airfryer to 190°C for 5 minutes. Arrange the chicken drumsticks in a single layer in the Airfryer basket. Avoid stacking the drumsticks to ensure even cooking. Cook for 20-25 minutes, turning the drumsticks halfway through, until they are golden-brown and their internal temperature reaches 75°C. - Service:
Arrange the drumsticks on a serving platter and sprinkle with fresh herbs such as parsley or coriander. Serve immediately with homemade barbecue sauce, garlic yoghurt sauce or a crisp salad.
Notes
- For extra-crisp skin: Leave drumsticks uncovered while resting in the fridge to allow skin to dry slightly.
- Variety of spices: Replace the smoked paprika with curry powder for an exotic touch.
