2 medium -sized zucchinis
1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper
Choice of spices: paprika, garlic powder, herbes de Provence, grated Parmesan (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the zucchinis Wash the zucchinis, then cut into thin slices (approx. 2-3 mm thick). For even slicing, use a mandolin.
- Season In a salad bowl, toss the zucchini slices with the olive oil, salt, pepper and spices of your choice. Make sure each slice is well coated.
- Airfryer cooking :
Preheat the airfryer to 160°C.
Place zucchini slices in a single layer in the basket. Avoid overlapping for even cooking.
Bake for 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket or flipping the slices halfway through for a crispy texture on all sides. - Serve Once cooked, serve the nuggets immediately with the sauce of your choice (ketchup, barbecue sauce, yoghurt sauce, etc.).
Notes
- Cut very thinly: For crispy chips, make sure slices are as thin as possible. A mandolin is ideal for even slicing.
- Drying the slices: Before adding the oil and spices, pat the zucchini slices dry with kitchen paper to remove excess water. This prevents the chips from becoming mushy.
- Use dry spices: Dry spices, such as paprika, garlic powder or herbes de Provence, cling better to the chips without adding moisture.
- Lightly spray with oil: For optimum crispness, use an oil spray and lightly spray the slices before cooking. Too much oil can make the chips soft.
- Don’t overload the basket: For even cooking, arrange the slices in a single layer in the airfryer basket. If necessary, make several batches.
These zucchini chips with airfryer are a healthy and tasty snack, ideal for anyone looking for an alternative to industrial snacks. Perfect as an aperitif or to accompany a meal, they can be seasoned to taste and are ready in just a few minutes.
