Ingrédients
2 chicken breasts
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon paprika
2 ripe avocados, sliced
1 tomato, diced
1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
4 large wheat tortillas (or corn tortillas)
100 g lettuce or arugula
4 tablespoons sauce of your choice (mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, or fresh cream sauce with herbs)
50 g grated cheese (cheddar, emmental or feta)
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preparing the chicken : Season chicken breasts with paprika, salt and pepper. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the heat and leave to cool for a few minutes, then cut into thin strips.
- Vegetable preparation : Slice the avocados, dice the tomato and chop the red onion. Prepare the lettuce (or arugula) leaves if you haven’t already done so.
- Wrap assembly : Place a tortilla flat on a plate. Spread a spoonful of sauce over the center of the tortilla. Then add a portion of lettuce, sliced chicken, a few slices of avocado, diced tomato and sliced onion. Sprinkle with grated cheese for a gourmet touch.
- Roll the wraps: Fold in the edges of the tortilla to enclose the filling, then roll up tightly. If necessary, hold the wrap closed with a toothpick.
- To serve : Wraps can be served as is, or cut in half for a more attractive presentation. They’re perfect with a green salad or a few chips for a complete meal.
