Home fries are a timeless classic that appeal to all ages. With the airfryer, it’s now possible to prepare them with much less oil, while retaining a crisp, golden texture. This quick and easy recipe lets you enjoy light fries with all the pleasure of traditional fries, but without the guilt!

Ingrédients

  • 4 large potatoes (Yukon Gold or Russet type)

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • Salt and pepper

  • Paprika, garlic powder, or other spices of your choice (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the potatoes Wash, peel and cut potatoes into French fries (0.5 to 1 cm thick). For a rustic texture, leave the skin on.
  • Soaking For extra crispiness, soak fries in cold water for 15 to 30 minutes, then drain and dry well.
  • Season In a salad bowl, mix the French fries with the olive oil, salt, pepper and spices of your choice.
  • Airfryer cooking Preheat the airfryer to 180°C. Place the fries in a single layer in the basket and bake for 15-20 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure even browning.
  • Check and serve Once golden-brown, remove the fries from the airfryer. Adjust the seasoning if necessary. Enjoy with your favorite sauce!

Notes

  • For even crispier fries, increase the temperature to 200°C for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking.
  • Vary the spices according to your taste: smoked paprika, herbes de Provence, or cayenne pepper for spicy fries.
